Samples from the Book

Following are some sample questions and responses. Learn the style of response, not necessarily the exact words. The response is direct and concise. It offers solutions to problems. It details times and places if necessary. The response asks for approval if required. Examine the style of each of the following responses and become totally knowledgeable about the style rather than the exact words.

1) Which Way Would You Prefer To Travel To Work By Car Or Bus?
I like to travel to work by car because of the convenience. Even though the gasoline is expensive and the parking is difficult, I am sure to be at work on time. The bus, while being less expensive is less reliable and takes much more time.

Notice - Answer is short and to the point. Response is car and then bus, it follows the question.

2) Would You Rather Raise Your Children In The City Or In The Country?
I would like my children to grow up in the country because the education is much better due to the smaller class sizes. Also, there is less pollution in the country as there are less cars and less industry causing smog. The country is safer for children because there is less crime due to a smaller population. The country offers more relaxed and cleaner environment for children. Although the city has more to offer in terms of museums and culture, I would rather raise my children in the country.

Notice - Part of question was repeated. Response mentioned city and country and gave reasons for each.

As you can see, the samples are clear, direct and simple. After reading "To Successful Experiences", you will understand what is expected of you during the iBT TOEFL ® test. You will be better able to respond to questions and be comfortable with your ability to respond correctly.

Avoid the frustration and disappointment that so many others have experienced. Order "To Successful Experience" and pass the iBT TOEFL ® test the first time. This is the beginning of a successful profession and profitable future for you.
